Confirm Not Conform for Adults: A Spiritual Formation Program
Confirm Not Conform for Adults is a spiritual formation program inspired by the youth curriculum. While sharing the same emphasis on building an authentic faith, Confirm Not Conform for Adults is tailored to meet the spiritual and developmental needs of adults in the middle of their lives.

Program Highlights:
- Encourages participants to explore their faith and ask questions they may have been hesitant to ask before.
- Covers essential topics like the Bible, creeds, prayer book, and sacraments, providing a fresh perspective.
- Includes experiments with various spiritual practices to help participants discover what resonates with them.
- Encourages reflection on how to use the remaining time in life meaningfully.
Origins of the Program:
The idea for Confirm Not Conform for Adults originated when we noticed parents dropping off their kids for the youth program. We realized:
- Parents could benefit from a reason to stay during the 90-minute session.
- Many parents hadn’t deeply considered faith since their own confirmation, often enduring rigid, uninspiring classes.
- Engaging both parents and kids in meaningful discussions would extend the conversation beyond the classroom.
- The program could be valuable for any adult in the parish.
Confirm Not Conform for Adults is flexible and can be used as an adult confirmation course, general education program, Sunday morning series, newcomer orientation, retreat program, and more. The program helps adults explore their true beliefs, integrating them into their daily lives.
